Here they are, the new Vrettos babies!!! They're both over 6 pounds -- HUGE for twins born almost a month early!!! Congrats to new parents John and Jen and to Peter and Anna, welcome to the world!!! Posted by Hello

5 Questions...

I got 2 takers on the questions (though, no real suprise, both my friends were confused by how to do it!!!) Anyone else up for an "interview"?

For Jenn:
1. You talk quite a bit on your blog about what other people do that drives you crazy -- understandable, of course, since people are generally unwise. BUT, here's the question -- what about YOU drives you crazy?

2. If you could go back in your life and change one thing that you did, what would it be? Keep in mind, this has to be something completely within your control.

3. I know that you're a sports fan. What is the best single game you've ever witnessed (preferably but not necessarily live) and why?

4. You have a sister and two parents in your immediate family. If you had to choose one characteristic from each of them to make "yours" what would it be?

5. You know that I'm a freak for music and you've made mention on your blog about connecting lyrics to moments in time. What song is the most meaningful to you (the most connected to a moment in your life) and why?

For Gina:
1. We've known each other forever. In what way do you think you've changed the most since your childhood?

2. In what way have you remained the same?

3. You mentioned moving away to Maine/Vermont/etc. If you were to make such a move and could take only ONE thing with you that you currently own, what would it be?

4. How did you choose your cats names?

5. I know that you're active in and concerned about a number of social causes. If you had $1 million to split among charities, where would it go?

Questions from Jersey Girl, Questions for You?

Jersey Girl answered questions from Sleeping Mommy. I signed up to answer questions from Jersey. Will you sign up to answer questions from me???

So, here are my answers:
What has been the best band/live act you have ever seen in concert and why?
Ooooh... started with a tough one. The best in concert was the first time I saw John Mellencamp because I wasn't a big fan, and he was so awesome that I became a huge fan. BUT, as a Jersey Girl myself, I feel incredibly guilty choosing him over Bruce or BJ. PLUS, I love seeing bands in tiny little clubs, like when I first saw Goo Goo Dolls, or when I saw Evan Dando's acoustic live show last year. How dare you make me choose between them!?!?!?!?!?
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I really loved San Diego, so if I could move all my friends and family there, I would. Otherwise, it's hard for me to picture leaving the east coast, since everyone I love is there.
I know you love to cook. What is your favorite meal to prepare, and what is your favorite meal to eat? I love to make elaborate meals, so my favorite things to cook are when I have a bunch of people over for dinner. I don't really have a favorite meal to cook, though, because I always try to make something different. I do make a fabulous olive oil bread that I can build about 20 meals around. To eat, I absolutely love chicken marsala, but I don't think my version is very good.
If you had a million dollars total to spend on 3 items, what would you buy (and it can’t be paying off student loans!)? First thing -- the beach house on the outer banks for me and the hubby. That would take a pretty big chunk of the million, so I'll just add on my dream car (the 61 corvette convertible) and a trip around the world.
What is your favorite time of day? Mid afternoon on the weekends (my nap time) or dinner time during the week, since it's one of the few times I get with the hubby.
Bonus Question: Who is your favorite niece? That's so easy. My favorite niece is Princess, featured prominently on this page and on Jersey Girl's site
