Silly cyber stalking...
I have a list of people who I occasionally look for online who I've known for a while, some since I was in high school or college but with whom I've lost touch. Some of them are easier to find than others (I've commented on here before that some friends have porn names) and some of these searches have actually resulted in renewed friendships.
Last night, I added one of them to my list and immediately found his blog. It's been about 6 years or so since I last saw him -- i think we had dinner or something, though I don't remember for sure -- but somehow I always assume that my friends' lives will stand still during the time that I don't see them. So, wasn't I surprised when I found that this old friend was not only married (I think I knew that part) but was also a parent, and lived only 10 minutes from where I lived for 2 1/2 years?
Of course, I find all this out after we've moved 4 hours away, but nice to know where he is. Cute kids too. Now I just have to decide whether or not to say hello or just keep an eye on the blog :)
