From possible to probable...

It has now gone from possible to probable that we will be returning to Jersey as of this fall. We will know for sure by the end of the week. I have very mixed feelings -- I know that this will be good for BC and that, long term, I will be fine. In the short term, though, I hate the idea of leaving my job, my friends, my home, etc. I did have good news this morning when I told my bosses (old boss is taking a leave of absence, so I met with old boss and new boss) that I was likely to be leaving -- new boss suggested that it might be a possibility for me to continue on a consultancy basis should I want to move before they can find a replacement. That was a nice surprise. Don't know what that might mean in real numbers, but it might be a nice fill in should I be unemployed after we move.

As for the potential job front, I've got a few applications out there, but I'm being picky -- I will not deal well with the idea of going from a job I love to being in one that I feel like I have to be in so that we can eat and have gas money. If anyone happens to know of any higher education/academic affairs/student affairs positions -- mid level, 5+ years experience -- let me know!

I welcome you with open arms.

Gilmore Girls night in Metuchen!!!

What town is BC's job in?

I welcome you back as well, would be good to have you around.

oh, and http://uhr.rutgers.edu/ if you didn't check it out yet.

Princess missed you and Uncle BC so she will be happy to have you closer. And hopefully you can regain your Jersey accent. That is always a plus.

Coming over to say hi to True's sister. Nice to meet you:-)

Hey...you are suddenly a flippery fish in the TTLB ecosystem! Cool!

I can't wait to have you back here either! Not that you'll be any closer, but it is SOME comfort you will be int eh same state! :) However, I will love you wherever you live. :)
